At the Crypto4Harris opening event, industry supporters of the Democratic presidential candidate suggested that Harris would lead a cryptocurrency surge, although she has yet to make her views known.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, speaking at an event in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, said that Congress is still on track to pass a cryptocurrency bill this year.

Schumer was "firing on all cylinders" at the Crypto4Harris event, saying the idea of passing some kind of cryptocurrency legislation this year is no longer a pipe dream. Billionaire Mark Cuban has said that former President Donald Trump and his party are primarily interested in cryptocurrencies in order to make wealthy digital asset investors richer.

Senators Debbie Stabenow and Kirsten Gillibrand, along with nearly a dozen other Democratic lawmakers, Joined industry titans like Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci in a virtual event to rally the cryptocurrency industry's support for Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign.

The Republican sprint has been slow, with Schumer expressing optimism that Congress will be able to pass some legislation before the end of the year. He mentioned the 21st Century Financial Innovation and Technology Act (FIT21), sponsored by Rep. Patrick McHenry, and the yet-to-be-introduced cryptocurrency bill being developed by the Senate Agriculture Committee, although he did not explicitly endorse either bill.

Emerging movements such as Crypto4Harris worked to rally support for Harris after former President Trump became the industry's top choice. While Harris has yet to make any policy statements on digital assets in the U.S., her campaign is said to be listening to the opening of the event.

Scaramucci said he wants cryptocurrencies to remain "bipartisan." Congressman Wiley Nickel said Trump is the only presidential candidate to call cryptocurrencies a scam.

Senator Debbie Stabenow said her goal is to "provide structures that protect consumers while promoting innovation," citing the CFTC as a friendlier regulator to oversee cryptocurrencies.

Mark Cuban says Trump and the Republican Party only want cryptocurrencies to make their Allies richer. Several lawmakers spoke at the conference to summarize their innovative views on crypto technology and expressed support for Harris' vision.

Until Harris makes her policy position clear, she will be benchmarking against the Biden administration's record, which includes years of legal battles and a failure to enact industry-specific regulations.

The Fairshake Political Action Committee divides election funds between the two political parties. In the House, it backs nine Democratic and nine Republican incumbents; In the Senate, they vowed to spend $12 million to defeat Senate Banking Committee Chairman Sherrod Brown. In the presidential race, Fairshake has so far not taken sides, but some of its biggest donors are backing Trump.

Crypto4Harris said it will begin a "grassroots" fundraising campaign in mid-September to raise funds from the cryptocurrency community.
